Going for a stroll

Before you get all excited, no, Nate can't quite walk yet. He can roll over in a most threatening way, and sometimes push himself under a chair, but we've got a ways to go before he walks. That said, there's no rule against a little parental assistance now and then.

(Note for the record his political affiliation, if not his tree-trunk legs.)

School Picture Day

Sadly Nate does not get his school picture taken until he actually goes to school.

I said I was doing statistics today and it was sort of true.

I don't think it is quite accurate, but it's pretty fun.

An LL Bean catalog autumn

What would the fall be without a cute little girl playing in the leaves?

I'm gonna get you Sukkah*

Now were not the most observant people in the world, but given an opportunity to buy some lumber and design a temporary structure in the back yard, well that's a challenge I can sink my teeth into. So a quick run to Home Depot, with a very slow drive home with loose lumber tied to the roof of our car, we had some friends over for an old fashion Sukkah raising. We'll try to decorate it a bit more each night, but if the weather holds out, we've got a sweet new space to eat dinner in.

*(For all your Sukkah questions)

(Update - a more respectably decorated sukkah)

Leaf Peeping

Nothing quite like a trip to New Hampshire in early October to make you appreciate New England in the Fall. The Crew tromped up to visit Aunt Janine on Saturday for a night at her farm, see the colors, a crystal clear night sky, and plenty of friendly cows. And should they come away with happy memories of an Ivy League college campus, well we can live with that I suppose.
